What does FSQA mean?
FSQA stands for Food Safety and Quality Authority
What is the FSQA's primary responsibility?
The Authority is responsible for the overall official control of food safety and quality and ensuring that food and feed comply with legal requirements, or where appropriate with approved codes of good practices.

Who should register?
Any persons or establishments that deals with import, export or distribution of food or related items in the Gambia.
Is there any fee attached to registration?
There are no fees for registering your business. Just use our simple Registration form to get started.

Food Safety and Quality Authority of The Gambia is established by the Food Safety and Quality Act, 2011 under the Office of The President. It is the sole National Competent Authority with powers of delegation mandated to officially control the safety and quality of all foods (including water and beverages) and animal feed whether locally produced, imported or destined for export.
